Pixi Pretties Collection 2019

You’ll be well aware by now that I hate having to spend too much money on, well, anything really… but especially make up. A brand needs to blow me away to convince me to part with more than a tenner for a single item. After having been introduced to a wide range of their products by being on their PR mailing list for the last couple of years, Pixi is the one relatively spendy brand that I consistently repurchase and trust. Their matte liquid lip colours, and more recently their lip icing glosses [affiliate link], are my ultimate lip products. I genuinely reach for them every time I do a face of makeup and I haven’t yet found anything I prefer.

Today I want to show you the latest products I received from the new Pixi Pretties influencer collection for late 2019 [gifted] as they are absolutely perfect for the time of year and the coming christmas season. As with previous collections, ‘Pixi Pretties’ is a series of collaborations with beauty youtubers, instagrammers, and bloggers. Whist there are a host of new names this time round, some previous favourites are back with gorgeous new shades! Read on for lots of shimmering and shining lip, eye, and cheek products.

I won’t be saving the best ’til last, I’m sharing it first as I’m seriously excited by the new Lit Kits [gifted / affiliate link]. Each kit contains a coordinated lip and eye product, one kit is designed for day looks and the other for night-time glam. I have these very high on the list of bits earmarked to try over christmas and new year, I also fancy using the ‘day’ matte lip with the ‘night’ fairy lights. I will, of course, report back on my findings.

In amongst the glitz and glam there is a little matte to be found tucked away in the of the Eye Heart Eyeshadow Palette [gifted / affiliate link] which is a selection of sublime autumnal burgundies, pinks, and golden browns, with a smattering of shimmer thrown in to some of the pans. These are good quality shadows with a decent opaque payoff and little fallout, the shimmers are a tad more sheer but still smooth to apply and blend.

There is a strong showing for highlight and cheek products in this collection, both the highlight palette [gifted / affiliate link] and the Glow-y Powder [gifted / affiliate link] have a smooth, almost creamy, consistency which is a dream to work with on the skin. They are supremely buildable for as striking a look as you wish to wear; these products will look gorgeous under either candlelight or disco lights!

Last – but certainly not least – be still my beating heart, there are three new shades of my beloved Lip Icing [gifted / affiliate link]! Soft pink ‘Parfait’, hot pink ‘BonBon’, and icy lilac Sorbet are now available with the same rich consistency and beautiful chocolate orange fragrance. I love that more and more colours are being added to this particular line.

Overall, as I said at the top, the sparkling new Pixi Pretties collection couldn’t have come along at a better time of year. I love that the products are glam without being too gaudy, and that the high quality I’ve come to expect from the brand is still as consistent as ever.
